In myth and folklore, Mermaids and Sirens were supernatural sea dwelling
creatures with such sweet voices that the mariners who heard their songs
were lured or “seduced” into grounding their boats on the rocks
from which they sang. Ever since man first took to the sea, sailors have
tried to ensure safe passage by attempting to pacify the mysterious and
unpredictable gods with symbols of faith. The ship's figurehead, a typical
example of this tradition, often took shape of a beautiful female figure
including the classic pose of the Mermaid, leading the ship and it’s
crew into the wind and waves. “Sea Ducer” continues this tradition
with our own version of this sea creature to accompany us on our excursions.

River, Intracoastal Waterway and blue waters of South Florida aboard “Sea
Ducer”, a fully equipped 34’ Glacier Bay power catamaran. This
vessel sports a full galley and bathroom, along with separate master and
mate quarters with room to sleep 4 adults down below. While above deck, enjoy
your excursion in a fully enclosed air conditioned cockpit or enjoy the open
air from the half tower up top, cushioned chairs on the deck, or just lay
back and catch some rays on the bow of this 13’ + wide vessel. Bring
your own IPOD or MP3 device and cruise to your favorite tunes on “Sea
Ducer’s” compatible stereo system. |

11 years of boating experience in South Florida. Also an accomplished cook
and photographer, he can please your palate and at the same time document
your experience with images which can be transformed into cherished keepsakes
such as high quality books or DVDs created on iMac. First Mate Cecilia Acevedo
is a first class hostess, entertainer and decorator who can assist you with
all the fine details of your charter. |
